Can the Good Guy (or Girl) Really Finish Last?
My article "Can the Good Guy (or Girl) really finish last?" was built out of my own reflections of personal working experiences. Let's face it, poeple can be downright evil to the core and those who stick to those morals that they were raised with may be persecuted for thier core value systems. To be honest, I have had more than my share of experiences with shady characters both at work and home.
The question is can a good person succeed without sacrificing our own moral integrity? I know that I support the means to be an ethical person, however there are times when I feel that I am a great disadvantage. I often wonder how my own daughters will deal with the concept that the working "corporate" world will not always work to an ethical means.
As I continue to struggle with life's little problems, I will continue to head forward towards seeking employment with a like minded employer. Until then I will still look to finish as best that I can.
